Where to find your Home Assistant API key
To find your API key for the Home Assistant integration:
Log in with your Electricity Maps account.
Your API key is shown on this page.
I don’t see an API key on this page
If you do not see an API key here, this means your account was created without selecting the Home Assistant integration.
Accounts created this way do not include a Home Assistant API key, and this cannot be fixed on the existing account.
How to get a Home Assistant API key
To get a valid Home Assistant API key, you need to create a new account using the Home Assistant signup flow.
Log out of your current Electricity Maps account.
Create a new account here:

After signing up, return to:
https://app.electricitymaps.com/developer-hub/getting-started-with-home-assistant
to find your API key.
Why this is required
Home Assistant access is defined at signup:
Only accounts created via the Home Assistant signup flow receive a Home Assistant API key
Home Assistant access cannot be added later to an existing account
