Getting help with the Home Assistant integration

Updated over a month ago

Where to ask questions or report issues

The Electricity Maps Home Assistant integration is maintained within the Home Assistant ecosystem.

If you have questions, run into issues, or want to suggest improvements, please create an issue in the official Home Assistant repository (GitHub).

This is the correct place to:

  • Report bugs in the Home Assistant integration

  • Ask questions about how the integration works

  • Request new features or improvements

Using the Home Assistant issue tracker ensures your request is visible to the maintainers and follows Home Assistant’s standard support and contribution process.

Before creating an issue

To help issues get resolved faster:

  • Search existing issues to see if your question has already been answered

  • Make sure your question is about the Home Assistant integration, not general Electricity Maps API access or account permissions

If the issue is specific to Home Assistant, GitHub is the fastest and most reliable way to get help.

Support limitations

Please note that we cannot provide direct support for Home Assistant–related issues via Electricity Maps support channels.

This includes:

  • Troubleshooting the Home Assistant integration

  • Debugging Home Assistant configuration issues

  • Answering integration-specific behavior questions

All Home Assistant integration support, bug reports, and feature requests must go through the official Home Assistant GitHub repository. This ensures issues are handled by the maintainers best equipped to resolve them.
